Ready to
Print Art
Artwork that is at the exact imprint size desired, positioned correctly on the die line, with all fonts outlined, with colors properly separated.

The best and highest quality imprints are made from VECTOR ART or high resolution RASTER IMAGES. VECTOR ART is made up of paths which are defined by points, lines and curves and are represented by mathimatical equations. RASTER IMAGE is a collection of pixels or dots arranged in a rectangular grid known as a bitmap. Good resolution is 300 dpi at 100% desired imprint size. Scaling a reaster image to a larger size results in a loss of quality as the pixel squares get bigger and create jaggy edges on the image.

Scanned Images Photos and graphic files should be 300 dpi at 100% size. Line art should be 1200 dpi. Art cannot be smaller than the desired size, and scans will onyl look as good as art provided.

Fonts All fonts must be converted to outlines, curves or paths. Be sure to send all screen and printer fonts. DO NOT send PC fonts - we are unable to use them. If your file containts PC fonts, it is necessary for you to convert them to outlines, curves or paths before sending us the artwork.

Bleed Artwork must extend at least 1/8 inch beyond the die line on each side that bleed. Allow for a 1/8" print margin inside the die line. On some labels, bleeds can be added or adjusted by our graphics team free of charge.

Screens A screen is defined as a dot structure of graded density. If required, our graphic team will adjust the screen effect for best imprinting quality.

Reverses A reverse is when the label stock color is shown through the ink coverage to create an image. Fine copy in reverse is not recommended to go below 7 point type.

Die Cut Lines Unique die lines must be set up in Illustrator or Freehand on a separate layer from graphics.

Tolerances Die cut tolerance is plus/minus 0.0625 inches.
